Known as the business hub in Southeast Asia, Singapore continues to attract a large number of foreigners looking to expand their careers and those looking to benefit from excellent healthcare and top education. Throughout the years, the number of people granted a Permanent Resident remains steady. However, that doesn’t mean attaining PR is easy, as the country has a rather selective immigration policy. Singapore’s Immigration and Customs Agency (ICA) will look at several factors when applying for a PR, such as duration of stay in Singapore, salary, education, age and family ties with a Singaporean citizen. 
Are you eligible?
According to ICA, an individual is eligible to apply for permanent residence if he/she is:
          • Spouse of a Singapore citizen or Singapore permanent resident 
          • Unmarried child aged below 21 years old, born within the context of a legal marriage to, or have been legally adopted by, a Singapore citizen or PR
          • Aged parent of a Singapore citizen
          • Holder of an Employment Pass or S Pass
          • Student studying in Singapore
          • Foreign investor in Singapore.
